To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's supposed to warm up here, too -- weird. Not bad, but weird.

I'm also trying to decide if I should (a) teach SAT classes for the Princeton Review, and (b) buy a new computer. I guess if I decide yes to (b), I should say yes to (a), huh.

(Oh, and it is (well, was) a beautiful, sunny day here today, much warmer than the weekend. We're trading rain with LA, or something).

In other time-wasting news, my sister sent me this game.

As far as I could tell from playing it (not reading the language - Japanese, maybe?), the following rules apply: only 2 persons on the raft at a time, the man can't stay with any of the girls without the woman's presence and the woman can't stay with any of the boys without the man's presence, the prisoner (striped shirt) can't stay with any civilian if the policeman is not there, and only the man, the woman and the policeman know how to operate the raft.

[Edit: Jesse, what are the considerations for and against (a)?]

HA HA. You're funny.

Thanks! And cute and fluffy. I have a some personal statemtents to write. A grant proposal. Some lessons to copy. I have to locate the minutes I took in October and type them and mail them.

You know. The usual crap. It'll be fun. You know you want to do it...

-t, I'm not even good at the making of the lists.

Kat is me. With much better shoes.

Hey Nilly, I forgot to mention. I did get shoes on Sunday. I fulfilled my job.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We're supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow. Whic isn't amazing, really, but after the last few days of hovering around freezing it seems strange.

I have a sneaky ToDo list trick. I always put something on it that I've already done, or am almost finished with, so I can cross a chore off right away. Makes me feel all accomplished.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hey Nilly? If you're sitll around, I have an incredibly dumb question. What's the Hebrew spelling of the name Pinkhes? (Which, I just realized, I can't really spell in English letters, either. Pinchus?) (My mother sells bar mitzvah invitations, and these parents want their son's Hebrew name on it, but they don't know how to spell it in Hebrew.)

t edit: nevermind. Found it through better googling.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Maybe ita's parents can work on Kat's To do List.

My feet also got wet on the way in, so now my shoes are off while they and my feet dry out.

Also, my car has an interesting anti-hydroplaning system.

Pro would be making more money. Con would be I'm lazy, and I'd have to do a ton of training before I can start, and the training is really far away from my house, and I'm lazy. Also, it seems a little scary -- I've never taught anything, really.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We are now dithering about movies, Nordstrom Rack, and where the onus lies in successful communication.

I do have a to do list, but it makes me tired, so I'm ignoring it. I can't even work out what to have for breakfast.
