Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Robin, OTOH, is 67, and unless you see her right at twilight, you can't hardly tell.

You can tell when I'm KICKING YOUR KRAV ASS.

If I only had a brain...

The mix is way tooo sweet for me. Which I hear is authentic: proper chai is syrupy. What I want is the strong spicy tea-milk without the sugar.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I think it's juliana, Jessica, and Shrift who always freak me out with how much younger they are than me.

I know! It's crazy.

I was startled to realise that Papa Roach are babies.

Really? How old are they? Because they sound older than they are, I guess. Both the singer's voice, and the kinds of songs they write make them sound more older rockers.

Edited for sense-making.

I think juliana and I are the same age. I don't really call myself young (she can if she wants to) but I don't call myself old, either. I only start to freak out when I think how long I've been at this job.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Aimée actually pointed out to me that I said I was 33 somewhere on the board recently, but I'm not. I've hit that "I'm in my mid-thirties and I'll be damned if I can remember how old I am," stage.

As I've mentioned (all too many times, no doubt) my bday is September 11th. That whole year it was like I never turned 31 -- I kept forgetting and still said I was thirty. The next year I caught up.

I'm getting close to that stage. My parents, on the other hand, refuse to believe I'm in my thirties, let alone the mid-thirties. Mom says she is not old enough to have a daughter my age.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

juliana is, like, 4.

You know, I can now see it.

Pffft. You're just jealous 'cuz I can run longer than y'all.

Which I hear is authentic: proper chai is syrupy.

Huh. I've had supposedly-authentic that is indeed sweet, but also so spicy that it will knock your socks off. I love it.

edit: sarameg is correct - I'm a mere 10 days or so behind her. I sure as hell don't feel young. I'm constantly surprised that I'm not in my 30s yet.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What goes into a Starbucks chai latte? Well, how much of what? I will be ordering one in about 20 minutes, and the barista is a flake.

IIRC, it's 1 part chai mix (liquid, not powder), and 2 parts steamed milk. Unless they've changed it. There should be a how-to book somewhere in the back, if not right behind the bar, which contains all the Starbucks drink recipes.

My mother always says that I was born with a mental age of 47, so really, I'm much older than you.

I can't even.

Dude, I've been like that since I hit 21. Most times I'm asked, I have to remember what year I was born in, remember what year and month it is now, and do the math.

I totally do this, except I have to ask what year it is because I don't really pay attention. My mental age changes so slooowly, like 5 to 1.
