Mostly lurking...

VW! How are you doing? Over with all the schoolwork?

I'm good. We are on break, but I'm trying to finish up some incompletes, so I've still got schoolwork. But at least it's not at the crazy pace as the semester is. School starts again in a week, which I can hardly believe!

Congrats for your roommate!

We're getting snow here too. We've gotten some, but not much. It seems to be taking a break, but it's supposed to pick up again.

Our malls our closed! I decided not to go to work because 1) the buses are not running and 2) the military was advised to stay home. If the military can't get to work, certainly a little public servant can stay home!

The post office has pulled mail carriers off the road. Our org is the only one open in the whole feckin' province.

Also, definitely stay home (sorry, Sue).

I almost stayed home myself, but my stubborness refused to use a vacation day on a day would should have rightly had off. And really? I have been in far worse snowstorms.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I just called in to work for no good reason at all, and now I'm kind of wishing I hadn't. Ah well. Off to take the dog for a longer than usual walk (despite the fact that it's freaking cold outside) and maybe get some coffee.

I can't even.

Timelies!

Windy and cold here, but no snow. My boss is having a work at home day. The thing I needed to come in to work to do on the weekend, I, uh, didn't, so I need to wrap that up right quick. So, I'll get on that. RSN.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Timelies!

My back is much much better today -- good enough that I didn't even think about what a pain it was on Saturday night until a little while ago. And there's a tiny coverlet of snow all over. So I may not take my car out at all, which is fine with me....

I can't believe Fuggin It Up haven't weighed in on the Golden Globes yet. What are they doing? Sleeping? Observing a national holiday? C'mon people, we need you!

This is bigger than Brad and Jen!

Teen actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are going their separate ways - the twins have now decided to live apart. Pals of the 18-year-old beauties tell America's Star magazine Mary-Kate will move out of their New York City apartment and into a spacious loft of her own. A source says, "Mary-Kate and Ashley want to do the independent thing and live on their own. They're twins, and I think they just want to find their own identities. They don't want to be identified as the same person." While the twins' representative Michael Pagnotta has declined to comment on the stars' living arrangements, he insists there isn't a rift between the pair. He explains, "They do a lot of things together and a lot of things individually. They're good friends; all this rift stuff is nonsense." One pal says Mary-Kate will be moving away from the TriBeCa home she shares with Ashley because she wants a place better suited to her favored pastime of painting. Despite her plans to move, sources say they're likely to be living together again once construction on their $7.3 million apartment in the West Village's Morton Square is completed later this year.

What is even happening?

Maybe the fug bloggers are West-Coast based? Still, you think they would have pulled an all-nighter for Halle's Picasso boobage, alone, not to mention Cate Blanchett's (whom I love and think is gorgeous) rosette, and did anyone manage to see a shot Eliza Dushku? I saw it in a slide show, so I'm not sure how to link to the photo. She looks like Rainbow Brite puked on her.

WROD! I keep checking for an update and keep getting disappointed.
