Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm over my lobster squick!

Yes, that too. It turns out that ita thought that lobster she had would have been able to say that she tried to kill it, and failed, if, you know, it could have talked. Turns out that it was just the way the lobster is.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's the lobster nature.

That's so relaxing.

ita, have you seen the ATK on the one pot meals yet? Two words: Clam Bake.

Two words: Clam Bake.

I have not! And I mis-Tivoed half of the one today, because I had my cable plugged into the computer not the TiVo. I hope there wasn't anything good.

I'm not a fan of the actual clam. Like, if my chowder has none, I like clam chowder. Something like my response to coconut.

So I'm not sure clam bake is for me. But if you make it, I'll come over.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Why do I have to be on the one LJ cluster that's still down? WHY??

Um.

Plei, I like the oatmeal cookie recipe from the Quaker oatmeal box. But with less sugar. I always use less sugar in cookie recipes.

What cluster, Jesse?

Also, what author were you talking about yesterday? I forgot to write it down. Devil in the Details is coming to you Tuesday since I finished it this AM.

I'm not a fan of clams at all. Or seafood. But I do like clam broth. And there is corn and potatoes and, on the top, either dungeness crab (which I like well enough) or lobster.

Chef, which they CLAIM is not down, but I know better.

My new crack author? Lois McMaster Bujold. Don't even get me started.

You know what's good? Clam cakes. Big balls of fried dough, with a couple little clam bits.
