I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Chef, which they CLAIM is not down, but I know better.

My new crack author? Lois McMaster Bujold. Don't even get me started.

You know what's good? Clam cakes. Big balls of fried dough, with a couple little clam bits.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I picked up a non-Vorksigian book of hers, because I can never remember to take the recommended reading order with me to the library or bookstore. It's slow ... but now that I've remembered it, I'll read some before bedtime.

Kat, I have no idea what I did with Kite Runner. I will buy you a replacement.

I am almost done with all the Vorkosigan books, and I just want to start from the beginning. And I want to buy them all. I have Issues.

Issues aside from being WIDE FUCKING AWAKE. Maybe I should start drinking.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I still haven't read the Vorkosigan books, but The Curse of Chalion is a damn fine read, and its sequel Paladin of Souls is one of my favorite fantasy novels ever.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Anything specific you wanna know, Burrell?

Sorry for disappearing Vonnie. I have a bunch of questions. Like how common is it? What, precisely, is it? And how is it treated?

Curse of Chalion is what I'm reading. But I'm nowhere in it yet -- the blurb hasn't started to happen yet.

Drink, Jesse, drink!

I swear there's crack in the Vorkosigan books. For one thing, people keep stealing them from the the New York public library (apparently).

And it's possible I'm getting sleepy.

It's a bit slow, which is what keeps me from rating it as highly as Paladin.

The Vorkosigan books are way more addicting than the Chalion ones. Because it's Miles.

Oh, and I saw Kronos Quartet! And my friend! And they were great! And now I have to wash all the makeup off my face and go to bed!
