Re Tom Delay: ... well, actually, I have no words. Unless I can tell him face to face I'm not going to waste the psychic or emotional energy on despising him.
Happy Birthday, msbelle!
Best wishes to the nephew of Kristin's heart, and his family.
I miss LJ too.
Oh Theo--what a gorgeous picture! Looking at that, though, it seems it'd be real easy for giraffes to drown. I never noticed before how dorsal their nostrils are.
'suela, look here! Best of both worlds. I'm SO envious of your NZ trip. Post lots of pictures.

Oh Bev, I love this. This is what he is exactly. Thank you for understanding.
Not really in defense of Delay, but.....
In listening to news, I've heard pieces on people questioning God's existence due to the tsunami.
One woman who was a devout Hindu said something about the deaths, even the infants and young children, were a result of people's karma and therefore does not disprove her religious philosophy. I was sort of shocked and definitely amazed because that ideological stance is so unfathomable for me.
Delay's is similarly unfathomable.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday msbelle!
Sigh...found out that a guy I "knew" from one of my newsgroups died
recently. He was 44. I never met him, but he seemed like a nice guy. 2005
isn't starting all that well with this news.
DeLay's bit reminded me of a quote I just posted to Bitches:
"Get some devastation in the back."
-- Sen. Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN), quoted by the AP, to a staff photographer taking a picture of him before leaving tsunami-stricken southern Sri Lanka.
I seem to have missed the post about Tom DeLay. I take it his conception of God isn't an omnibenevolent one?
