I'm sorry.
More oatmeal for me!
I'm trying to decide if I want to use my maple chips in it, or if I just want to stick to cooking it with raisins and then covering with brown sugar and cream.

Heh. The slashdot item on the LJ crash has this post:
A great disturbance in the Force...
... as if millions of teenage girls suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
LJ's Bradfitz has been posting some updates there, as well.
Maple chips? That sounds yummy.
ita, did you make a calendar out of the Best of the rest? I have the four other ones. (side note: It's amazing how many reasons I've found to look at a calendar lately.)
Polgara told me about this news item, and I thought it had to be a rumor, that no one could be this vile.
Tsunami Victims by Way of Tom Delay
Morning, Lee!
I see LJ is still down. I'm buying luggage at LL Bean for my trip to NZ. So excited!
5,800 cubic inches is a lot of room, right? Can I get away with only 2,000 cubic inches?
Maple chips? That sounds yummy.
They are. I got them at Whole Foods to add to salads. As one might suspect, they're just crunchy little chips of maple sugar.
Timelies. Allyson's link is making me want to throw things. Plei and Brenda are making me want oatmeal.
I'm feeling a little relieved today. My "nephew" (I don't have real nieces and nephews, but my best friend's son is as close as it gets) had his heart surgery a couple of days ago and is apparantly doing well. He's a severe hemophiliac; this was the surgey that installs a port in his heart so they can give him injections of the clotting factor every day. He's only a year old. As hideous as that sounds, though, the port will allow them to not have to run to the ER every time he stubs his toe, which is what they've had to do for this first year.
Anyway, they're doing well, and I'm going down to see them today. Poor lamb.
ETA: Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MSBELLE! I hope it is awesome.

No ... the site's too wee for me to feel I've done a representative job. Bring on 2006.
I'm doing my 2005 budgeting, now that I know what a 2005 paycheck is going to look like. I decided to wipe MS Money clean, and upload six months of data into it, and then classify each purchase so I can do good trending. I am INSANE.
A port in his heart? Poor dear.
Now to go make berry protein smoothie.
Polgara told me about this news item, and I thought it had to be a rumor, that no one could be this vile.
There really are no words to express how vile this is, are there?
Morning Consuela! When do you leave for NZ?
I think I need to go buy some maple chips. I know a cookie recipe they might be great in.
eta: what ita said, Kristin, but I am glad it went well. My niece had two heart surgeries when she was younger, and apart from a cool zipper scar and having to take meds every day, she is fine.
