I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Polgara told me about this news item, and I thought it had to be a rumor, that no one could be this vile.

There really are no words to express how vile this is, are there?

Morning Consuela! When do you leave for NZ?

I think I need to go buy some maple chips. I know a cookie recipe they might be great in.

eta: what ita said, Kristin, but I am glad it went well. My niece had two heart surgeries when she was younger, and apart from a cool zipper scar and having to take meds every day, she is fine.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Happy birthday, msbelle!

The status is NOT quo.

A port in his heart? Poor dear.
The scariest thing for his parents is that they're the ones who have to do the injections every day. It's evidently a very delicate process (more so than diabetes injections, for example), and they're pretty freaked about screwing it up.

Now to go make berry protein smoothie.

Mmm, berry protein smoothie.

Also, ita, every single pruchase I make is entered into Quicken and categorized. I could trend back eight years if I wanted to. I am a sick finance-lovin' puppy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eek, Kristin. Best of luck to them all. Scary. But good that they're living now, when there's Stuff To Be Done, huh?

I have GOT to do laundry. I don't remember when the last time I did it was. It's possible I own too many socks and underpants.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Two weeks, Lee. And I realized that using a big rolling bag with hard sides may not be the most effective use of space. So I'm looking at duffles.

Gonna go see Kronos Quartet tonight, yay! But now I have to finish doing the dishes and drag my sorry ass into the office.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

That's a lovely picture of Theo with the giraffes. It makes me want to hie me to the zoo.

The status is NOT quo.

What is this "laundry" you speak of?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

From what I hear, it's a process where you get to wear stuff you've worn before. Somehow, it makes them so you can wear them again? Or something along those lines, anyway.

That's crazy talk!

Wear something you've worn before?

How gauche.
