Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

If you're a lefty and like the climate, you'll adore Corvallis. Exquisite little college town with all the amenities: independent comics shops, used bookstore, farmer's market.

If there's not much 95F+ weather in August it sounds like my own, personal heaven. It also sounds like a place that would be well-stocked with folks holding English degrees and with web publishing experience, but it still wouldn't hurt to check.

Now they've cancelled the donations. Because God knows you can't just feed the poor children for the sake of feeding them.

Apparently I missed the part of the Bible where Jesus said, "When you fed the starving, and made sure they listend to the Nicene Creed before allowing them their bowl of rice, you fed me."

As far as I know, there haven't been any applications filled out for the position of Mr. shrift.

Are these applications available at shriftweb?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dolly could do something like "Starfish and Coffee."

oh, do you have real databases or excel spreadsheets fauxing their way along as databases?

Real databases. But I also take Excel sheets and turn them into Access all the time.

Stay on the other side of my skull, dammit!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

There is a small (I think) subset of the Christian Right that think the solution to terrorism is to convert Muslims to Christianity....

I write software that takes database queries and turns them into Excel sheets.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Are these applications available at shriftweb?

bachelorette.shriftweb.org

There is a small (I think) subset

Not so small, I suspect.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

my excel sheets are growing exponentially. I should have quit this job when they wouldn't buy me a database.

I write software that converts everything into everything else.

OK, perhaps I exaggerate....

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Registration for the LOST party is officially one week from now.

I'm a bundle of nerves. Why?
