The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

This was the thought of the day in our e-newsletter:

“A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr. ~

I love it when people go subversive around here. It makes for much more interesting days.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I went to the trouble of begging off not just this conference call, but the entire project. Yet ... I sit here eavesdropping on the two cubes near me participating in it, and feeding the guy closest to me instant messages to help them along.

I swear I'm paying more attention to it than I'd be if I were actually dialed in.

If I only had a brain...

If you're a lefty and like the climate, you'll adore Corvallis. Exquisite little college town with all the amenities: independent comics shops, used bookstore, farmer's market. If my employer hadn't been wildly unstable, I'd have considered moving there myself.

Also? Where I was born.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

If you're a lefty

It took me a minute to figure out what handedness could possibly have to do with it. I need sleep.

The sun is shining, but we're in the deep freeze now. I'm utterly kerslammed with work once again. I have to go wedding dress shopping tomorrow.

But hey, Dana's coming home from London this weekend!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I have to go wedding dress shopping tomorrow.

You're getting married? Or just looking for bargains?
