I was imagining more A giant Hec skipping across the town destroying buildings as he skipped.

Now I am picture a giant "Hec in a dirdl" balloon a la the balloons in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Now I know what the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has been missing!
(Or should we go for Pasadena on New Year's Day?)
Hippo Birdies, Jesse and Rayne!
Have to run -- Mom is calling that she needs my help. Stupid being at h/o/m/e/ her house where I don't have 250 miles away of excuse....
Happy Birthday to Jesse, Theodosia and Rayne!!!!!!!
So are the New England Buffistas getting snow right now? They're predicting a Nor'Easter for us tomorrow, and you guys usually have our weather about 24 hours before we get it.
We aren't getting it yet, but we will be starting this afternoon. I am still at the part of the year where I love Nor'easters. By March, nsm.
The iPod story is getting less cute. I'm having an ungodly time trying to convince what was once Dave's iPod that it wants to connect to a PC instead of his sleek little Powerbook (we had both already formatted and set up the iPods before we decided to switch). He gloated at me for hours last night about the fact that his Mac had no issues with the switchover, while my PC keeps screwing it up.
We just got into a hell of a fight this morning because he kept trying to do it "for me" (hanging over my shoulder when I'm at my laptop without an express invitation to do so is one of my biggest pet peeves), and he stomped off to go do errands with my mom when I told him he was treating me like I was five. Since he left, I thought I'd found the problem (bad USB to iPod cable) and am using the other cable...now it sees the iPod but has spent the last ten minutes attempting to reset it.
I will figure this out. This iPod will be mine. Oh yes.
Oh, and did I mention the Christmas tree fell over this morning? This may have something to do with our post-Christmas blahs.
ETA: FredPete, I'm so sorry to hear about Hubs. Please send him my well-wishes.
Happy birthdays Jesse, Theo, Rayne, CindyMama, and Boxing!
Can't say better than amych, so I'll just quote her. Imagine me pointing and nodding.
Oh, Fred. So sorry Hubs is sick. Here's hoping yours is just a little passing thing, but good for you for getting it checked out.
(((Cindy))) Good on your DH and Mom for supporting you through that. I know what runaway panic can do. I hate it, and it's so easy to feel responsible, and then guilty AND responsible, on top of having been sandbagged by one's brain chemistry. There's no good there--except that you actually weren't dying of a heart attack, that part's really fantastically good. So it's wonderful that the people who love you have your back.
::Waving at Laura, whom I almost never see, and miss::
Kristin! The Ipod story was so cute. And I so get the "don't help unless I ask for it" for the DH, too.
ION, I have a sore throat. I want ice cream. A whole elephant full of ice cream. But I'm probably going to settle for toast and tea.
Happy Birthday to Theodosia, Jesse and Rayne!!!
Kristin, despite the current troubles, I too love your iPod story.
Happy birthday to Jesse, Rayne, and Theo!
Feeling colorful this morning. And enjoying lounging around in my fleecey, soft new robe, which I love. May everyone's health and electronic problems sort themselves out pronto.
I have decided that this is the LAST year we attempt to mold our schedules around other people. Next Christmas, the mofos are coming to us.
Figuring this out before the baby is born? Very, very wise. Stick to your guns.
Wow Jesse, Rayne and Theo all born on the same day? What auspicious stars there must be! Happy happy to all of you!
...and the fight is over.
The iPod, however, is still not working.
Would it be wrong to buy a new iBook just to use my iPod?
Yes. yes it would. Nonetheless, tempted.
