Another TV cancellation - The Will on CBS is gone after one airing.

I can't even.

Gronklies, all.

Back in the office today after a bad nose day yesterday. I've now cleared out the not-stupid emails and must address the stupid ones. Don't wanna. Fortunately, I have caffeine.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had a hard time figuring out that signs were in english.

I'm so used to English/French that my brain had to work extra hard to accept Spanish.

See? Good things do happen. Later rather than sooner, but they happen.

The Will on CBS is gone after one airing

That is good news.

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

There was no warning, hell, no DJ even announced the change. They just finished one song, had a prerecorded station ID announcement of the new station id, and went straight into the new format with a spanish song.

Infinity Broadcasting is 'considering' continuing the HFSestival, which means they will continue to 'consider' it until the furor dies down, and then quietly drop it.

Protests scheduled for this weekend.

But I am wondering, do they have DJs at the new station? Why switch formats without setting things up?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They seemed to juggle formats in Detroit at the drop of a hat, and they never announced them either. Nothing drastic as a language change, because, well, Detroit, but one day your 80s dominated station would be country, and your alt rock hiphop. Just like that.

Fucking annoying, and weaned me off radio right quick.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Morning.

I had my annual review yesterday, and got a raise. Yay! I actually managed to curb my impulse to argue, so I can take the negatives and work on them. Plus, my sick days and vacation kick in now, and provided I finish stuff today I get tomorrow off. Which is good since my little biker buddy will be in town today and I haven't seen him in a while, so I'll get to hang out in the shop while he and Mr. H work on Mr. H's bike.

Congratulations sj on the apartment. Not knowing where you're going to live=scary.

I never warmed up to NYC radio. I think not being in a car is a big reason. Also? mostly the stations suck.

I am treating myself to BK for lunch today. This makes me very happy.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

NPR is my only radio station. Though the local has been cutting programs lately which sucks.

My car's presets are still on Detroit stations. I've never listened to LA radio under my own steam. And I'm good with that. Now that I have an iPod, I'm even better.
