Now tagless for your comfort.

But when I've written a completely plain contract and asked you if you understand it, and you sign it, and then argue after the fact that I've cheated you out of money because you didn't understand it, please don't EVER say, "Americans..." under your breath because you can't take responsibility for your shit.

Ouch. Yeah, rude.

My Iranian friend LOVES America. He mocks the administration but is very definitive about his love for the US. He thinks people that voted for Bush are crazy, but he's not running around saying mean things about them. He's more puzzled than anything else. Like he can't quite figure out why we're not treating our democracy any better than we are.

Question re: the pics upthread--how did y'all manage to find an uncarved spot on the wall at Gino's?!

Oh, and a great article (Chicago Tribune reg. required) on National Pie Day, along with some "lost pie" recipes.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Slightly askew Buffistas in Chicago

Awww....I'm so bummed I couldn't come. Especially since I work in the same freakin' building as Gino's. But, alas, I had class last night.

Coding and Sleeping

He thinks people that voted for Bush are crazy.

That's perfectly understandable. What bugs me about the Bush administration more than anything else is the way they just ignore reality and get away with it. That said, I think there is just an ideological divide that is so strong that 90% of those on the right will vote for anyone the Republicans put up there and 90% of those on the left will vote for anyone the Democrats put up there regardless of the facts.

I feel the same way, and it makes me so sad.

This is what bugs me about all the voting issues in the election. I think Bush probably won, regardless, but we aren't actually a democracy if we don't resolve these issues. I'd be saying the same thing, had Kerry won in '04, or had Gore been declared the winner in '00.

I can't even.

I bristle when unAmericans talk shit about my country.

I reserve the right to talk shit about your country. I am likely to be focused on the administration, and I'm probably going to be less caustic than say, Jon Stewart or Michael Moore, but I'm gonna.

Two different things, I think.
