But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The holiday scheduling really killed the momentum of the show, though,

Well, that and the out-of-control bunching. With the exception of Gus and Hera's elimination, Hungary was basically a complete wash.

It enough to make me wonder, actually, if the teams got really off schedule someplace along the line, enough that they're arriving in the middle of the night for things that they were expected to have finished in the daytime. Whatever it is, it needs to stop.

I'm encouraged that J and V made a dumb-ass detour choice, even though it did work out for them in the end. (That and the FF mis-step.) Maybe they're starting to burn out a bit.

The editors still have our backs, though. With the models at the gas station getting directions and worrying about being last, and one of them commenting that Lori and Bolo would mess it up, being so stupid and all. Cut directly to: "Lori and Bolo, currently in first place." Hee.

What is even happening?

lisah, here's to your friend's dad. May his procedure be simple and successful, and his recovery swift.

Heh. tightie whities save the day.
Lipscomb had been in the flooded timberland near Hollowell Reservoir for about 12 hours when he was rescued. To survive, he drank dirty bayou water and ate a raw duck breast.
I think I would have waited a little longer, particularly on the duck.

Okay, I can see the water, but dude, no way am I eating raw duck after only 12 hours.

Or, what Lee said.

tommyrot, they said caffeine and dairy are both no-nos for sinus. However, I find the hot drink helps me. I don't know the *why* of caffeine being bad where sinuses are concerned. If it's just that caffeine acts as a diuretic, I'd say have the tea, and just chug lots of water, too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Tommyrot, try some green tea.

Decaffeinated? Or the normal stuff?

Yeah, I think I'll run to the store. I forgot to bring acetaminophen or ibuprofin with me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't think they can do that, Jesse. Game show rules and stuff.

Bah. You don't think the whole Ken Jennings thing was orchestrated? No one cares about rules anymore!!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Pseudoephedrine has been the only thing that's been keeping my sinuses at bay lately.

Tylenol Daytime Sinus = acetaminophen + pseudoephedrine

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

VM didn't really bother me. I still like it enough to keep watching.

TAR needs to stop the bunching.

I slept through my alarm this morning - am unmotivated for work - it feels like Friday AND my back hurts. WAH!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Did anyone finish off counting rhymes with "My mother told me to pick the very best one and you are not IT" (with or without the "not" depending on how drawn out a process you were going for)?

This. Also, until yesterday, I was never aware there was such a thing as the racist version, nor any versions other than tiger.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My husband has discovered Archie McPhee. Oh dear.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I made Alton Brown's overnight oatmeal. next time I will 1) drop the liquid by at least a cup 2) add salt while cooking

as I suspected way too much liquid. it is more like soup, and no chewing for the oats, which is the whole point of steel cut oats.
