Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm about to raise an assload of money for charity, and so that's happy!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

How we've missed Erin. :-)

I took a three hour hike among the cacti this morning, which I hadn't entirely been intending to -- I just strolled along admiring the view and so on, until I came to a logical stopping place, then turned around and walked back to my car. Looked at my watch, and bingo, bango, three hours had passed. Vacation is fun.

Also, it was warm enough in Tucson that I was comfortable in just a t-shirt. It's supposed to rain later on tonight, but I'll Believe It When I See It.

CDF is headed by Marian Wright Edelman, right? Or has she stepped down?

ignoring the scary talk

Allyson, that's definitely a good thing.

So it appears the City pays $15/day. And helpfully provides a link to parking. At $4/day. And all the local fooderies that give you a free beverage with your meal. Why bother?

Unsure, Kat. The proceeds go directly to the CA chapter, so I've just been dealing with the folks in LA and haven't had any contact with the DC office.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Grump. I just had a partner growl at me because I was pressing him on a question. And he was (more or less) in the right to growl since he already answered, but I wouldn't have had to press for confirmation if I wasn't stuck fixing shit my boss left me with when she took her gorram vacation to sunny fucking Hawaii.

It was one of those deals where he had answered with "it needs to be discussed" and missing boss came back with "it's urgent - need answer now" and so I had to go back and get a faceful of "I told you it needs to be discussed. Back off, chump." He didn't say "chump" though. But it was implicit.

Anyway, like I said, it's really her causing me the grievance.

people should use chump in office dialogue more.
