All the oatmeal discussions had me standing in the cereal aisle last night, contemplating purchase. Which I didn't, because while I like it, I rarely eat it anymore and do not have the functionality in the morning for anything more complex than my coffee and certainly can't contemplate eating anything that...well, nutritionally useful before noon.
My hands and feet are chilling. This is annoying. Anyone have a beverage they need to cool down?
We often have oatmeal for a light supper, when neither of us has brain power to cook something complicated, like adding stuff to noodles.
sara, go run your hands under hot water. My mom always told me to wash dishes when I complained of being cold. It works.

It would certainly break me of complaining I was cold.
I've done that even though the water available can only loosely be called hot. Now, if I could sit and do my work with my hands under water, that would be great. Unfortunately, not quite an option. This is a winter is STUPID issue.
My easy cook supper is scrambled eggs. For some reason I find them more acceptable for dinner than oatmeal. Oatmeal is just too firmly ensconced in my brain as "breakfast only."
And my office is so hot, I have the fan running, although I have had to turn it down. It was the a/c. Office temp issues are a huge pain.
sara can you wear fingerless gloves?
Some pictures from the recent ice storm that hit. We lost power for about 10 hours, but it wasn't too bad since the house didn't cool down a whole lot during that time.

Problem is the fingers. Eh. It makes me whine obnoxiously and there is little cure except for a different season or a tub of water. Oh, or sitting on my hands. Not much to be done while I'm at work. So I whine.
Icestorms are gorgeous. Unfortunately, also rather destructive and a pain in the ass. Hopefully it melted and you didn't have to chip the car out?
Cute kid.
Alpen is my "huh? dinner?" dinner.
A co-worker mentioned that he had some days where he only ate two bowls of cereal. It took me a while to realise he meant that's all he'd eat in a day, not that's all the cereal he'd eat in a day.
I don't usually have more than two bowls. But the idea of eating nothing else for the day, even with the addition of protein shakes? Nuh-huh.
