I think I wanna buy an LED lamp or two...
You can get one to replace a regular bulb for about $20 (I think). Eventually it'd pay for itself.

Hmmm, wonder if the LED lights are dimmable. I was looking at doing the compact flourescent lamps for these fixtures but I wasn't sure if they could be dimmed. I need to test that actually.
It's a quote from my younger brother, and the reasoning is because he would surely have become a scurvy sea-dog. Yarr. That makes sense. Your brother made sense? Huh.
I do plan on going to San Diego for some training stuff in the next couple months or so.Yay!
All I got.
The rain has brought thunder and lightening to San Diego. Pretty sure that is going to lead the news. Not waiting up to find out though. I will note though that my brochure promised 68 and sunny. And lied.
Hey, ita, you know the glass 12 point star from Jackalope that you bought? We put a tea light in ours (after we hung it from the ceiling) and lit it for the first time. It's super beautiful that way.

Isn't it? I moved mine yesterday from near the glass box to near the mirror, but I haven't lit it there yet. I'm hoping for double the pretty, with the reflection.
I'm tempted to get another one, to hang on the other side of the mirror.
I meant to ask Lori -- is using a teeny drill bit to make a starter hole and then manually screwing in a hook the safe way to do it? Or should I be worried about falling stars?
We did as you described: predrill a small hole, and then manually screw the hook in. You can also get an expander which would definitely stop the star from falling. But the expander would also stop you from being able to remove the hook.
Lori also lengthened the chain because she was concerned about setting the house on fire, since the chain is short. She used a metal carabiner to do that, which is wise.
you should definitely get another. They're amazing when lit.
Whatsa "glass 12 point star from Jackalope"? Cause I think I need one. A lot.

Also, Cass would like to know: Does it vibrate?
Shards, shards in new places!
It's kinda like this, Cass, except prettier. It's metal along the edges, but the rest is glass, and it has fewer points -- it looks like a star of David made three D.
