Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I mean, I've seen traffic problems due to sun glare, for chrissakes!

At the risk of defending stupid drivers, in Seattle this actually makes sense. Something about the angle the sunlight hits when you're this far north--and on our rare December and January sunny days, the sun just never gets very high in the sky.

What really gets me is people who freak out at a light drizzle around here. I'm not talking pouring rain obstructing visibility, or snow or sleet. Just ordinary, garden-variety drizzle.

Our wings are not tired

I am installing lighting in my new office.

So far I've got the work area lighting up, which consists of two low voltage shelf lights up on the top of my desk. Now I need to hang the four lights that I got for the main lighting in the office. They are the large paper globes that will do lots of ambient light all over the room as well as up into the ceiling, which is going to be very cool since there is also a vaulted ceiling in here.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You should install some carbon filament lightbulbs. Just 'cuz.

And yes, they're still made.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

ND, it is obvious you need to come out here and design the lighting for my condo. It is a very messed up ceiling.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I can't stand the rain against my windowpane. Brings back memories.

Ann Peebles' wants her memories back.

tommyrot, according to Kipling, all humans win staring contests with animals. He may not be a reliable resources on this subject, however.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Obviously he never owned a cat. Or his was named Blinky.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, why does Crossing Jordan have to put the bad guys in Somerville??? Also, why does the Boston PD get to storm in? Stupid Crossing Jordan. I like it better when I can pretend it takes place in Townville.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Jesse-- Do you watch Crossing Jordan regularly? If so do you know what is/has been/was going on with Lily and the character played by Miguel Ferrar ? I think I have not seen things in the right order.

I don't know, even though I feel like I usually watch it. There was a thing with a DA, wasn't there? But that was before, I think.

I feel like a usually watch it to, but I feel like I watched in the first Season and there was something going on, and then not at all, and then whatever episode I was watching last week had them referencing a kiss. In fact, Dr, whatisface seemed to be apologizing to the DA for the kiss.

But I watch the show oddly, because Lily is my favorite character. The same thing seems to have happened with Jordan and the guy from Sliders (Woody?) I am really bad with names in this show, except for, of course, Jordan.
