Swouncing

Poking head to post that, since I probably won't be here until after the weekend, according to the Buffista Calendar, tomorrow, Friday the 7th, will be Miracleman's birthday. So lots of early wishes for daddy MM!

And great Thursdays, Fridays, weekends and all the other "timelies", capitalized or not, for everybody. One day I'll be able to properly post again, not just skip-post-run.

What is even happening?

Hi, Nilly. Did I miss you? What's keeping you so busy?

I feel like a little kid. I'm so happy that school has been canceled on account of snow. Well actually, perhaps I should say I feel like a teenager. When we had snow days when I was little, there was true joy. Now, as in my teens, the overwhelming feeling is more akin to relief.

[insert something funny here]

So is the S4 premiere gonna make me change my mind, or squee?

Okay, quoting myself here, but I've just watched it and:

It made me squee in places, and scratch my head in others.

The new opening credits are incredibly lame.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The rumors are true. LiveJournal has been bought out: [link]

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I read that somewhere else DX. Bought out by the Movable Type people, right?

From far away, it’s OK, but up close, it’s a big old mess.

And, that's okay if you are willing to go with it for what it is. If you just sit back and enjoy the ride, it's great. But if you are looking for the deeper metaphor, the bigger meaning and the neat way it all hangs together, you're screwed.

Yep. Favorite bizarre comment exchange in that thread so far?

[mysticskunk] Sellout. I guess us free journal users are screwed now. Makes no sense to a real business to keep it free.

[bradfitz (the LJ guy)] That's why they bought us ... They WANTED a free site.

[mysticskunk] Then I apologize. I'm more than just a bit jaded by corporate monsters and almost nothing is ever free or fair in life anymore. If what you say is true, then I have nothing to complain about and I wish you all the best.

[gurl4sale] God, do you furries even READ ANYTHING? God, you're all so stupid.

[mysticskunk] We all look alike too! =)

[arfuni] I was actually just thinking how absurd it was that a man likely to now be a millionare [that'd be bradfitz --me] was posting replies to a furry on the internet.

It's funnier, 'cause it's true.

Those are the ones, Kat.

I haven't watched regularly enough to be certain, but this kept running through my head last night, wrt Lost.

Also, yesterday, I noticed a new-ish salon in my town with the name "Le Monet" (or possibly "La..." I disremember) and I thought, sheesh, I hope that's intentionally ironic, but suspect they just picked something French sounding, to appear sophisticated.

I totally watch Alias for the wigs and the boom. I actually get bored when the plot gets in the way. I am so deep!

And for the record? I think the wig count stayed at 3, and the underwear at 3, if you count tank top in bed. I was kind of disappointed (about the wigs, people.)

And the flickering flourescents may creep me out in garages from here on out.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Owwww. I woke up with a migraine, which would suck enough on its own, but I also don't get to go ipod my car.

Today gets no biscuits, do you hear me-NONE.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

New possible subtitles for ALIAS:

There is not enough therapy in the world
My Family is more fucked up than your family
Lena is NOT coming back people, stop emailing JJ
Sure we have the skill and training to take out Sloan without evidence or trace, but.....DAMN you and your logical thinking
Two pouty sisters is surely better than one, right?
Dude, the Rimbaldi shit doesn;t even make sense to US anymore, but we will still mention it at least once an episode.

I was deeply disappointed in the three wig count. Vaughn is THE HOT. I think it is best to forget the details from season to season with Alias..

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Lee, I have a headache that shows all the signs that it could turn into a migraine. And I'm exhausted. AND I just checked my bank account online and I somehow overdrew my account by $60. I have overdraft protection, but that's not the point. I feel irresponsible. AND I get paid tomorrow, so if that $60 had been just a little slower, I wouldn't have overdrawn. (Not that that alleviates my fiscal irresponsibility.)

I agree. Today gets no cookies, no soup, no biscuits. Only gruel.
