well sure, uncomfortable if I am actually there, but when just the recipient of crazy people stories - it helps add perspective to crazy.
Natter 31 But Looks 29
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yech. A mixture of rain/sleet is coming down outside. Very nasty stuff. And it's freezing in my office to boot.
TAR:
Kendra didn't help her "stupid as dirt" reputation any by pointing out the vomit left behind to Freddie.
That wasn't actually Kendra. Freddie said something about putting about 8 oz. back in the bowl and Kendra asked him what he meant. Then, he told her that he'd thrown up in the bowl. Not that I'm disputing Kendra being "stupid as dirt" because the breeding comment cemented that fact long ago.
Poor Gus and Hera. The worst detour pickers ever! Was there even one time that they didn't go for the wrong choice? They even tried to do the cantaloupe toss, for crying out loud. Now I only have Kris and Jon to root for. Everyone else bugs in some way.
I had breakfast not too long ago and I'm still hungry. There is cheesecake in the fridge. Is it acceptable to have breakfast desert?
Is it acceptable to have breakfast desert?
Is that a trick question?
The grocery store near me has these boxes that contain two slices of pie (cheesecake, key lime pie, etc). I thought that's what I bought yesterday, but it turns out I bought a whole cheesecake. So now I have the cheesecake equivelent of Too Much Candy, except there's no one here to eat it off my neck. At least not until my boss's dog gets in....
Hayden needs to be paired with Jonathan
If this actually referred to me, this would be a very short pairing. After I broke his nose, they'd probably disqualify me. But DAMN that would be enjoyable.
Also, re: TAR, to kat p: Freddy didn't start puking until his dumb-ass racist shithead of a girlfriend pointed out all of the puke on the floor.
I really can't stand the Fear Factor-level challenges. Between that and the enabling of the blue-haired wifebeater, TAR is quickly becoming the show I am most likely to drop if it doesn't clean up its act.
VM: I missed most of the first half (although I taped TAR, I figured I'd be around to watch VM). Would someone be so kind as to fill me in about what happened?
I've already dropped TAR (after one glorious season of LOVING it) because of the reasons hayden cited. It makes me sad. I do read the TWOP recaps though.
I watched 50 First Dates on HBO instead. It made me cry because I am the World's Most Sappiest Sap.
NOT YOU, hayden.
The beyootch chic Hayden on TAR.
I would never ever ever wish that on you.
If this actually referred to me
It's capitalized, it can't be you.
In other news, for the class I'm taking in "History and Philosophy of Science", I have to prepare a lesson on the second chapter of Leviathan and the Air-Pump. Have you ever heard of it? The professor hinted (spoilers for homework!) that the final conclusion of the book is that what affected each scientific stand is the political view of the people involved (Boyle and Hobbes). The whole way of looking at science from such a "what does the science matter? let's look at the people involved!" point of view is fascinating.
[Edit: does posting about the thing I'm actually supposed to do count as goofing off, or not? Hmm]
LJ hates me today -- I went to the site and the place to log-in is gone!
What's up with that?
All the public schools in my area are closed and lots of the private ones as well. And it's snowing very prettily right now.
We are just far enough north to have missed out getting icy/snow mixture instead of snow. (Seriously, the weather reports were saying north of I-88 snow and south of it ice and we're just north of I-88.)
