You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

flap flap flap fin fin fin.

One of the obsessives at the TVtome OC board says:

The studio is in Manhattan Beach, it is called Raleigh Studios and you can take a tour. Also they do filming in Malibu and newport beach and Newport Harbor.

So, technically they do film a little in the OC - probably just those aerial shots of Newport Harbor and a few other exteriors. I don't know where the pier with The Bait Shop is.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Whyfor the fins, Kat, and can we get pictures?

Also, Hi!

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Winter in San Francisco freaked me out....

Mark Twain: The coldest winter I ever spent was the 4th of July in San Francisco (or something to that effect, 'cause I didn't actually look up the quote).

ION, in case anyone cares, I am still at work, and will be until 4:30 AST. However, I am not accomplishing much. Those few souls who are keeping the library open had a joint salad lunch (A co-worker suggested, and it worked out great. She brought greens and everyone brought something to put on top. It's cheaper, easier and better than the junk food potlucks we usually do.). On the bright side, I got a call from the florist asking if I would rather have lilies or roses (roses) and delivery at work today or at home tomorrow (home)...which means someone sent me flowers!! Whoot!

Off to the reference desk now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm wearing a red shirt (and grey pants, so get your mind out of that gutter). I feel the need to be clear -- this is not the red of Christmas (nor of the disposable crew member). The death of carnage, perhaps, and habitual, at that.

I need a sign.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I suppose it wouldn't be a good idea to write down my job description as "doing shit what is more important than helping you all re-engineer our processes."

"Running around like a crazy person without even taking occasional breaks for porn."

In addition to many other articles of clothing, I'm wearing a blue sweater, underneath which I am wearing a Jem and the Holograms T-shirt.

Whyfor the fins, Kat, and can we get pictures?

No pictures. Fins are removed.

Our old fins were impossible to get off easily. Which resulted in lots of embarrassing flailing in water. These were $30 off plus another $20 off with a gift card, which makes them not quite free, but still cheaper than their usual price.

We also bought, earlier, new wet suits because I've gotten fat and didn't fit in mine and Lori's got cold and compressed and uncomfortable.

MUST GO SCUBA SOON.

ita is a RED SHIRT!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I have cookies! Sent to us by a client. Now, I understand our vendors sending in holiday goodies. We spend money with them all year long, they send us a few holiday goodies as a thanks.

But, our clients? They spend a crapload of money on us AND give us holiday goodies? It kinda rocks.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I need a sign

Will this do?

Prefer this.

Oh, god, I'm getting a Jamaican accent in my head. This won't end well.
