That's one thing that surprised me about the results. Bruce Sutter was third in the voting, despite only playing 12 years. He was a very good pitcher, and has very good numbers, but I expected him to be behind Goose, and even Lee Smith (although I think he was better than Smith).
Heh. My mom HATED Dr. Seuss books. She said her eyes would glaze over. However, she swallowed her hate when she saw how much we liked them and how useful they could be. Mind you, she only admitted her hate last year. Cracked me up.
She also has all my Carle books and then went and bought them all for my nephew, so I couldn't even do that!
