I got him Goodnight Moon, Stinky Cheeseman, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, Harold and the Purple Crayon, A Snowy Day, Moo Baa La La La, Where the Sidewalk Ends, and Where the Wild Things Are many moons ago.
He likes the board books, likes turning the pages. Some are too much for him yet but he'll have 'em when he wants wants 'em.

Oh, before running out: I can't think of a toddler who didn't like Dr. Seuss, even in the Hebrew translation (and as good as some of them are, the English original is even more fun). Allyson, you're a good auntie!

The other major theory is that HOF voters prefer guys who racked up the stats over 15 years, and Rice sort of fell off a cliff suddenly.

- Officer Buckle and Gloria (best for the K-1 set, as it takes place in a school)
- The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes (n.b. This is an Easter book)
- Wish Upon a Birthday
- Don't Forget the Bacon
- I don't particularly like them, but pre-K kids love those "If you give a moose a muffin..." books.
I can think up more if I try, but that's a start, and most/all of those should be in print.
