I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

just had not planned meeting that made my head spin. budget numbers based on, well, nothing. videographer =zero because honoree's relative does that. hasn't agreed to do it for free, but I am told to budget zero. is anyone making the call to the relative? nope.

specifics on how to get things done, none are given - even when I specifically ask. these people drive me crazy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Baseball Hall of Fame announcement today.

Boggs for sure. Sandberg should be. After that it's dicey, but I'd put in Blyleven and Goose.

msbelle's coworkers should be more...what's the word I'm looking for...NotStupid.

Swouncing

Congrats, ND.

Thanks, Ginger. 2005 is pretty nice, too - it's the square of 5 (25) separated by 2 zeroes, so again with the 2s, only from a different place.

msbelle, sorry for the crazy.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

The word is out. Boggs, Sandberg, and that's all.

Jim Rice came in 4th, but he was only at 59.7%. Blyleven (7th) and Goose (5th) were after him.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hey ND, you still around?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'd probably put Rice in too, now that I think of it. The guy was an absolute monster hitter for a very long time. Also, an underrated outfielder (which will happen when you come up playing next to Fred Lynn and Dwight Evans).

People talk about Blyleven's curveball, but you had to see it to believe it. Nobody before or since had a curveball like he did. That fucker snapped with the tightest, sharpest break I've ever seen on a ball. It wasn't a big 12 to 6 curveball like Zito has. It was almost like a down-hooking slider in the strikezone.

Thanks! I've got a load of unpacking to do, but at least I'm now into my new place.
