Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I resent this skill.

It's winter; the alternative is hypothermia. And possibly jail time.

Either that, or you discovered the Unifying Theory Of Fandom and fixed them all.

I am seekrit puppetmaster. All your strings are belong to me. Dance, fandom, dance!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hec, are you a fan of those "women in prison" movies?

Or maybe I dreamed about the shirt, and then you were wearing it. It's really all you did.

This is the kind of tiny cameo appearance that Buffistas have make in my dreams. They never say anything (just as well, because I only know what DavidS and Allyson sound like, from their radio appearences), they're just connected to other things in the dreams. There was one dream where I noticed ita in a sidewalk café in Denmark reading a novel by Nella Larsen, with this picture on the back cover, [link] . I think that the book was there because Nella Larsen's mother was Danish, and posters with this picture were advertising a Nella Larsen retropsective the last time I was there. I suppose that ita was reading the book because Nella Larsen's father was West Indian. I never got to talk to ita in the dream. She was just one of fifty people at the cafe.

The other Buffista appearance was after pictures were posted from the LA F2F, including one of Madrigal cavorting with a cardboard cutout of Lorne and the famous picture of Shrift that was mentioned here recently. Soon after, I had a dream where I was in a crowed sports bar watching a basketball game when Lorne came in with Madrigal on one arm and Shrift on the other. It was a good strategy on his part because, with a spectacular babe on each arm, no one seemed to notice his unusual appearance. Actually, even to me he didn't look much like Lorne, I just knew that he was.

It may surprise you to know this, but Lorne turns out to be a major fan of Big Ten basketball. He was very knowledgeable, but he was, unfortunately, a Michigan fan, and he got to be pretty tiresome about it, as is the habit of Michigan fans everywhere. I never did get a chance to talk to Madrigal or Shrift, but I did steal the occasional glance at them while Lorne prattled on about the Maize and Blue.

WiPs? Hell, yeah!

Good dream, Rick. We should all dream of being squired around by Madrigal and Shrift. That's a lot of snark to go with the babe-liness.
