Jesse, and how you had to tell your friends that you didn't want any of that because you didn't want to be in trouble for oreos!! I LOVE THAT.
"#85 Fear that if you put too much toilet paper in the toilet bowl it will run over and get all over the floor and on you and on someone else too, it would leak from upstairs to the next floor below."
Jesse, this one made me think of you and your ceiling/plumbing woes.
Rio, I totally have to order the book.
anti topple brackets are also good! They aren't as fabulous as straps, but I'll use those in a pinch to secure the shelves.
DOH! I just realized that in spite of having thought I put all christmas stuff away, I still have stockings hanging. I wonder if I can shoehorn them into the box.
The one where the frostbitten fans threw snow-fireworks after every touchdown in the playoffs last year was hilarious. I don't remember a thing from the game itself, just my amazement at the persistence of the fans.
It's even funnier if you realize the team they were playing was Miami, who must have been being prepped by God for their season this year (just barely beating the Pats in a garbage-time game aside). Although they were two to three times warmer than Tennessee who played the next week with a field high temp of 11F.
I also have it on pretty good authority that the Pats move to Hartford was a bluff Bob Kraft totally got called on - there was no way he was going to move the team out of Foxboro if it wasn't to Boston, and Boston ponied up some dough on top of it.
Finally, on another of the subjects that have been discussed, I actually like Moxie, but COMPLETELY understand those who spit it out.
random interjection:
for those of you who like Cook's Illustrated or watch America's Test Kitchen, the cookbooks from ATK are AWESOME. So good that we can now delete the X number of episodes from the Tivo.
LOVE ATK. I think I like the equipment part best, cause you always wonder if the expensive shit is better, and you know what? IT NEVER IS.
Vortex, these cookbooks also have all of that stuff. The equipment and the taste tests.
Love.
but then, what will I watch on Sundays? I wonder where ATK is. We should make a pilgrimage. We could be tasters!
Boston, I think.
The cookbooks are for the ones that have broadcast already. So I have the books from 2002 and 2003.

My brother is a missionary for ATK. He pimped them at us all during Christmas, and now I have one of the books on my wishlist.
I don't have Earthquake straps, but I bought some brackets at the hardware store and strapped my bookshelves to the walls using climbing webbing. Seems to work okay, I hope.
