Natter 31 But Looks 29
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
25 frikken degrees in Austin. Brrrrrrrrr. At least the wind has quieted down.
Hey, at least you're gonna get The Real World.
Complete melts, or the sort where the piles from clearing parking lots live forever?
Sometimes one, sometimes the other. I know that's terribly vague, but there really is a lot of variance from year to year.
Ironing flat sheets? Oh yeah, some people do that. I am disincluded from that subset of folks by my predisposition to fold and forget.
Head kicking requires a flexibility I no longer have, I fear. But I do regularly step on heads (inside helmets) that have been conveniently placed in the proximity. Takes some getting used to, then you're fine with it.
Yeah, but your mom is also smarter (than I) and better at rat-killing.
Actually, even better, my Christmas Eve dinner has expanded to two more guests.
It was looking uncomfortably spare, with an embarassment of food.
Morning, all. Had a rough night. We have a friend in from NYC, which is fabulous, but the BF not only has a nasty cold, he got some sort of stomach flu which caused him to get violently ill several times last night. Poor guy. We has lots of fun dinner and meet friend plans for the next few days--hope the BF feels better soon so he can enjoy it. Anybody else have this recently? How long does it last?
Luckily our friend got a used iPod from a friend of ours his first evening here and is happy sitting at the computer all day sifting through BF's song files and making playlists.
See, Chicago is weird to me, as most of the time when it snows the snow melts in a week.
It's random. But yeah. All winter-long snow isn't common. Still, it's what I associate with winter for whatever reason.
ION, I am starving and the cafeteria doesn't start serving for another 35 minutes. The fact that there is a box of really good chocolates next to my desk makes this extremely problematic.
Yeah, but your mom is also smarter (than I) and better at rat-killing.
She trumps most people in both categories, and few people trump her at both.
Damn, Robin. I've not had that, so have no suggestions outside ginger tea.
Ironing flat sheets?
They're
really
crinkly. My mother never made me sleep on crinkly sheets. I'm not sure which magic powers made this happen.

Stomach flu tends to have a 12-48 hour life-span. They usually burn themselves out quickly (while being extremely unpleasant in the process). If it's lasting longer than that, I'd get it checked out. It wouldn't be food poisoning either, because that tends to have about the same lifespan.
Timelies all!
Feel better, WBB.
The third thing out of my BILs mouth (said to my niece) made me want to cluestick him, or import ita to do it properly. I think I may go take a nap.

Crinkly fresh out of the dryer (god, how do you spell that word?)?
If you wash them, dry them and remove them from the machine that dries immediately, then they shouldn't be overly wrinkly.
