Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Well, i'm working about half a day. The home office is closed for weather concerns, so there's noone to answer questions for me anyway, and my boss didn't have the heart to mandate I work today, though there's a lot to do on this project.

So, I work a half day, and make us both happy-relatively.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

All our presents are in Ohio!!

It's okay. It's cold there. They'll keep.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Ack, flea! Some safe-flight-with-what's-left-of-your-luggage-intact-and-power-restored-at-your-SIL's~ma for you. Yeesh.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Hey. Ya'll, Scotland is *cold.* I knew this theoretically, but it's an entirely different thing actually being here. I had to seriously convince myself to get out of bed this morning because the temperature outside the bed was so different from the temperature inside the bed.

They claim there will be snow tomorrow. I will wait and hope anxiously.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have off! Of course it is because I was never "allowed" to take my vacation time this year, and now I am going to lose some of it!

On the plus side, I can clean my house while listening to the OC Christmakkus album! And wrap my presents!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oy. Ice storms are not of the good. It doesn't really matter how many snow plows there are in that situation. (Makes for really pretty pictures, though). What are the chances you could re-schedule for New Years?

I'm packing up the 'puter and heading to KC. KC 'istas, I'll be there thru the 1st, so if you have time around all the family stuff and want to try to get together I can be reached at my profile addy. I'm likely to only check the e-mail in the evenings.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Happy Off Day for those of you who have it off.

Sophia, I love the Chrismukkah album; I only wish it had songs from last years Chrismukkah episode too.

I'm currently scrambling to find a slide projector before January 3rd when my class starts (the one where I need slides).

Ugh.

Slide projectors are so 1970s and I can't find one at my school to use and I don't want to buy one. Nor do we have a scanner that can scan slides.

ARGH.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Aieee. Poor flea. I was listening to the description of Ohio getting dumped on (on the radio) and thinking to myself, Self, is it weird to call up a family-in-law you don't know at all, just to make sure that they have properly retrieved your kin? And is it kosher to do so from one's work telephone?

Did the snowsuit/oranges bag have a name & address on it? They might find it and call. Or, go back to the airport early and check lost and found.

Okay, there is the remote possibility that they found the suitcase and blew it up. But, I bet not.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ice storms are not of the good. It doesn't really matter how many snow plows there are in that situation.

Well, it does if the plows salt the fuck out of everything. But even then, you never know when you'll hit an icy patch. Once I was driving to Madison from Chicago (on 90) during a storm. The roads were fine in IL, but as soon as I crossed the state line into Wisconsin the roads suddenly were icy as hell, and there were about a half-dozen cars in the ditch just in the first few miles of Wisconsin highway. An SUV spun out right in front of me and slid into the ditch backwards.

Ooh, remember the slide projector thingies where you played an audio tape, and the tape would beep and the slide projector would automatically move to the next slide? Those were cool.
