I got my hair chopped on Monday - quite a bit shorter than it was. I am pleased.

Me too! It's a win for everybody. Mmmmm, short little Brenda curls. What a pleasant thought.

What is even happening?

Guh. Just did radio interview for a morning show on the East Coast. Am now awake, yet my body would rather not. Still - publicity for books is good.

Um? East Coast where? What station? Was it live (a little notice would have been nice--just sayin')

I too, need a haircut.

Hil, two of Julia's classmates donated hair to Locks of Love. Good for you!

Julia wants to do so too, but her hair isn't long enough. She wants to let it grow long enough, but she also hates having her hair too long, because it is very fine, and gets so tangled, and she seems to have the world's most sensitive scalp.

...

Hey, has anyone heard of any bottled water companies providing portable water to the tsunami ravaged areas? I have not been able to make myself watch too much of the coverage, because it is just so huge and painful, and it all seems so grim. But dh had the news on last night while I was reading, and they were talking about the sewerage overflows, and the disease that's sure to spread, because of drinking water contamination, and I started thinking Poland Springs, Evian, Dasani (which I think is owned by Coca Cola) and Aquafina (Pepsi) ought to be chartering jets, and then delivery trucks, and coming to the rescue.

Do we need to write to them, or is this already happening? How about European water companies, like Perrier? I am having no luck googling, but keep getting interrupted.

Swouncing

JZ said it was very rock star of me to be handling calls from the press at all hours.

That's a lovely way of seeing it. How very JZ-ish.

now there's year-end crap I've got to shovel.

But there is a vacation to loof forward to, right after that, right?

It's not the shortest it's ever been, but it's close. And very curly.

My sister decided to get low-lights (who knew that was a term) put in - the dark colors barely show and the light parts that they did to show off the dark turned purple. Not an entirely successful procedure.

Hi Nilly!

And now it looks like we'll be dealing with a University of Michigan football stadium full of dead people. It holds over 100,000. It's a big stadium.

Gah. They're now saying 114,000. And I can't imagine what's going to happen in the weeks to come.

My best friend spent six months in Sri Lanka last year. She's been frantically hoping for information about her people there, but it's been slow coming in. Some people she'll probably just never know about.

According to her, it being some sort of holiday period, and a full-moon, to boot, many more people than normal would have been in the coastal areas - everyone heads for the beach. She saw an aerial image of the town where she most likely would have been. Flattened, nothing left.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Look at that - it's almost like I could sense Cash was going to talk about getting her hair cut. Is Owen up already?

He's an early riser--6:30 a.m. is about average.

It's been 12 weeks since I had a haircut at least!! That's insane for me. I used to be an every 8 weeks kind of girl.

I mentioned it! Albany, New York - WGY. Yeah, it was live. However, I got to pimp Barnes and Noble online since Amazon's lagging on deliveries, and the DJ was enthusiastic about the book.

You know, if I were in Ohio, I'd babysit for you to facilitate this process.

Right. On. I've got some pictures off you with short hair so that's a good visual reference.

I too, need a haircut.

It's like an epidemic of shagginess.

But there is a vacation to loof forward to, right after that, right?

Indeed. I took Tuesday and Wednesday off. Go into work today. Then have Friday off. Emmett's going to be with his Mom at a beach house, so (as it happens) I'll be cutting JZ's hair and we'll be wallowing in some Alone!Together time.

Hey, has anyone heard of any bottled water companies providing portable water to the tsunami ravaged areas?

I know Coke is. I live in Coke's hometown, and it was on the local news last night.

You've pinpointed the cause for said shagginess. Topped off by DH's insane hours in the past two months.
