The gift I sent should have gotten there by now.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.
A-HA! I was right in my geography! In fact, the gift that you sent got here last night! askye (I am pretty sure) sent us a big turtle (Eve says "rrrar"), a hand-blown glass oil lamp, some scrumptious citrus soap and a very charming and funny children's book about the animals on a farm, complete with 4 meows, 2 arf arfs, and 5 horses that Eve insists on calling moos - she's not very good with her larger farm animals yet. Thank you thank you! We are enjoying.
I tried to hide the geography a bit, but UPS wanted too much info.
The book is one of my childhood favorites -- my brother and I read that book to tatters.
Wait! Eve's talking? But... but... didn't she just get born?
Seventeen and a half months ago. They grow like the wind, these grasshoppers.
Jeeez. Seems like just yesterday. Sunrise, sunset...
You got an invite to her high school graduation, right?
DX, that was years ago. She's getting married next week.
Did flea say something about grandchildren? My, the days, how they fly.
Eeeeeeee!!! Vortex is the best Sekrit Santa ever, I don't care that she was late!
Back in December, I literally thought, "Damn, it would be really great if I got The Best American Science Writing 2004 for a Sekrit Santa gift."
AND I DID OMG YAY.
Plus a book of scary stories written by women! Margaret Atwood, Shirley Jackson, Joyce Carol Oates, Jamaica Kincaid, Flannery O'Connor...all in one book!!
And a pen!
totally has a cow
That was so worth waiting for. Thank you so much!
