You guys had a riot? On account of me? A real riot?

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Eek! My SS has hit a little snag - I need more of something to complete it, and the store where I can get it is out. So it'll be at least the weekend before I can mail.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I am so brilliant. t /overwheening smugness

Also, and much more importantly, I am so lucky, because Lilty is wonderful.

And in other news, I think I finally get to meet buffistas when I head to the Bay Area, tomorrow! (I actually arrive the following day, as it saves me over $200 to overnight in Seattle. Unfortunately, I won't be there long enough to meet Seattle-istas.)

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I'm nicely relieved that my Secret Santee got both her thingies (Hey Deena!), but nothing from my Secret Santa yet.

Not javachik

I'm skimming like a mad thing, because being on a computer means I'm back at work and wahhhh! I have a ton of work.

Thank you Sekrik Santa Ann W! Ann sent the most gorgeous hand knit socks, striped in gorgeous greens, cream, rust, brown. They're at home, not in front of me, but wow, did I mention hand knit? Really cool. You should see the way the curves are made. I'm a little afraid to actually wear them; they look like fabric art. And THEN, they came in the most amazing fabric wrapping - a beautiful burgundy fabric (is it organza?) scarf, with tiny jewels and beads sewn along the entire end with a colored wire, then gathered into a bunch and tied with a tassled twisted gold cord. It took my breath away, it was so gorgeous and then this beautiful handknit thing inside. Fabulous. Thanks so much! Loved the card, too.

Cards! Sail, I got your card and it's adorable. Kristin, loved your card, too.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Java, I'm so glad you like them!

Also, I forgot to mention in the card that the socks are machine washable/dryable.

Hellbound Equal-Opportunity Nookie Hog

Sail, that was one of the most gorgeous cards I've seen this season. Thank you!

Heh. As befits a Slacker Santa, I have bought one thing of several that go in my Santee's gift, but haven't bought the others. And the one thing hasn't actually *arrived* yet...

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I gave up on one and canceled the order, bought something a little different to replace it, finally have the gift all packed up... and I can't find the packing tape. I swear, my santee is going to think no one loves him or her. I hope the package makes up for its tardy arrival.

move out and draw fire

Oh Lilty, I'm glad you got the package! It got there a lot faster than I was expecting! (whew, APO bails out my tardiness)

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

::crosses fingers:: Here's hoping that my secret santa has gotten her gift. Stupid Royal Mail.
