Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

Did you make the dragon

No, it's a premade design by one of my favorite scrapbook supplies companies. But I had fun finding the right "Serenity" symbols to make a stencil with. I wanted a Firefly themed package for you since I see you in that thread more than others. I'm glad you liked it. And that box, it almost stayed home with me, hee. I saw it months ago and as soon as I knew who my giftee was, I knew exactly what to get.

Daniel C. Jensen just gave me a nice link to a songfile I've been craving, because iTunes is all snooty and won't talk to my Win98 system! He's a sweetie!

Art Crawl!!!

Well, thank you!

I couldn't blame you if you had kept that box -- it's gorgeous!!

Hmmm, so the Chinese characters are actually Chinese? Therefore my kanji dictionary would do me no good.

I will, therefore, not even attempt to a. find it and b. count the strokes on the characters to figure out where they might be in the dictionary.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Just in case--I am leaving here on the 23rd, and I won't be back until the 2nd. So just FYI, Santa.

(Mine just went into the mail this morning. Phew! Should be there pre-Christmas.)

I misremember the sight I found them at. I just remember finding a discussion about how the symbols used on the show weren't quite right for the meaning they were looking for. And that the correct ones were the ones I blew up to make the stencil. Or, something like that. I don't even know if they are Kanji or not, so I'm no help there.

Thrive to spite them

I'm a horrible slacker and now my present won't go out until after Xmas.

Gremlins keep hiding things from me...

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Mine is going out tomorrow, lord willin' and the creek don't rise. It's been very difficult convincing myself it's enough. I'm hoping sending it priority will make it arrive at least early in the week after Christmas.

lord willin' and the creek don't rise

Sister! Someone else who uses that phrase!

I love that phrase! It's very useful. Though I say "God" instead of "Lord."

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

My version's a little longer--"if the Good Lord's willin' and the creek don't rise."
