Will it be first come first serve for the scholarship fund?

Yes, I believe this is what will work the best. I'll post updates about how much is in the fund and if we have a need for more money in it. That way both sides can stay anonymous.

FWIW, I would be relieved to know that we had gathered enough to offset the costs of the food and beverages since it's my credit card that will be charged otherwise.

Okay, I'm going to post this in press and link over to here for discussion.

So, if it's first come first serve, and someone who doesn't need the money (like me) were to ask for it, that person would get it?

I suppose so. I'd hope that people would only ask if they need it but it's pretty much the honor system. I'm not going to be running credit checks.

Huh. Interesting.

FTR, not asking, but I was just curious.

I couldn't really come up with a system other than just trusting people to do the right thing. Last year we had many more folks that were willing to give a little bit more than those that needed the help, so hopefully it will hold true again this year.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Is my covering the cashier and bartender included, or is that a seperate thing. Also, Kristin, remind me what the cost for those two are. I could flip back, I suppose, but I'm lazy and trying to catch up in other threads.

I don't think those two items are taken into account Heather. I'll make a note of it and calculate it in as I'm doing the totals.

I'm not sure they count toward the total, do they? If not, maybe I can throw a little extra in there.
