I'm coming to SF2F2006!
Yay! I'm so happy to hear things worked out the way it should be.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

Eh, no problem. I figured you were gathering them to deposit in bulk.
I cannot WAIT for this. I haven't figured out what I'm going to wear to Prom yet, but I'm not too worried. I'll hit the shops next weekend, I think.
It's a F2F miracle.
And see, I've got fangirl material on all the names above.
After F2F2002, I actually did it. I sat down in this afterglowy trance and wrote commentary about the foaminess of the individual Buffistas there, and then was too embarrassed to post it.
But come on, Erin rocks even harder than you think she's going to. Betsy really is a goddess in human form. JZ's as lovely as she writes. Spouses don't escape the love, either. Like Brendan: as soon as you see him, you think, "Are we related? Or maybe went to school together?" 'cause it's like you've known him forever.
I have to shut up now and go help my sister organize her garage. Pray to the god of your choice nobody gets hurt while I'm blissed out like this.
Anne, am I picking you up?
kate, btw, if the Shady Grove in your tag refers to what I think it does, we can have a couple of very interesting conversations.
Deb, I was assuming that I'd be taking public transport or something (but wouldn't mind a ride, either). To be honest, I'm really only just now starting to think logistics again, now that a couple of other brain-drainers have been taken care of.
Anyhow, I'm about to leave to go to Baltimore for the weekend. I'll check in w/ people about the best way to get from airport to hotel when I get back.
Katefate's tag is a line from the McGarrigles song "Going Back to Harlan."
Ah, different Shady Grove. Never mind....
Anne, kewl. We'll work the logistics when you get home.
It's referring to the folk song. Some lyrics:
Frail my heart apart and play me little Shady Grove
Ring the Bells of Rhymney
Till they ring inside my head
Forever
Bounce the bow,
Rock the gallows for The Hanged Man's Reel
And wake the Devil from his dream
And if you were Willie More,
Then I was Barbara Allen or Fair Ellen
All sad at the cabin door
A-weepin' and a-pinin' for love
Ah, weepin' and a-pinin' for love
I love the McGarrigles.
Very very happy that KateFate's coming to play! Yay!
Aw Hec, I can sound so snotty sometimes and I truly didn't mean it that way. It's funny (and my comeuppance, if you'd like to look at it that way) that a year and a half after I uttered that charming line, the universe smacked me with a man I fell hopelessly in love with. No tits, chest hair, beard stubble, all the usual boy stuff. Note to self: never say never.
Awww, it wasn't snotty. It was snarky, but it was very very funny and I certainly didn't ever take offense. It's the first slow dance I had where my dance partner was scoping out the same women I was and we were commenting on the ultimate hotness all around us.
Why do I suddenly have the need to listen to the Roches' first album?
