While I think of it, and particularly for Kristin and ND, my American visit is taking shape. I'll arrive in LA on August 19, and I'd expect to leave around the 24th (Saturday to Thursday).
Hey, bt, make sure to let me know if you guys make the trek down to these parts for the zoo. I'd be pleased as punch to join up with you.
Or, if you don't, I suppose I could make the trek to LA.

Do I need to buy a ticket for Alcatraz now, or will it be possible to buy one the night of the tour? I haven't 100% made up my mind whether or not I'll want to do it, but I'm hoping the option will still be open to me that night.
