Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Because books.

two of the three buses you catch a block from our house, the 5 Fulton or the 21 Hayes, go within a block of the hotel

Cool. Can you pay cash on the bus?

Also, I don't *think* Fay is coming, but I'm not entirely sure.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think you need exact change - $1.50 each way.

Thanks, -t! I'm figuring if there's some kind of MetroCard thingie like in NYC, I won't have time to get one, because I'm getting in late-ish Friday and then heading out to dinner, etc.

There is some sort of MUNI pass that might save you some $$ if you end up using the bus/cable cars a lot, but quarters (I think folding money is okay, too) definitely work.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Anything from folding money down to pennies is fine (but it can't make change); there are also 3-day passes you can get, and a couple of places still sell packets of tokens.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Can you pay cash on the bus?

Yep. Costs a buck fifty, and you ask for a transfer. The transfer is good for at least 90 minutes and you can use it on any flavour of MUNI that isn't the cable cars. Folding money is fine, but remember, they don't make change, so I'll just load you up with six quarters and out you go.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Would anyone else like to go for dim sum Saturday morning? (And if so, can any locals recommend a place? Carts preferred to menus!)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'd be up for that.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Dim sum sounds good to me.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Dim sum, yum. And if it means a little early (or not so early) wandering of interesting streets, all the better.
