smiles sweetly, cracks knuckles
The whole planet? Good luck with that, mate. Scrabble?

...I'd still thoroughly enjoy reading The Wolves In The Walls to anyone who would listen, fwiw. But I know that's shockingly self-indulgent of me.

My bus from work has poetry readings most Wednesdays, when we remember. As well as treats every Sunday. I heart my bus.

My bus just has diesel fumes and people talking to someone who isn't there. And occasional adolescents whose only adjective begins with "f".
We all chorus "BYEEE!!!" to people as they get off the bus. It's really very nice. Notwithstanding the fact that my employers have screwed me over in some ways this year, I really enjoy my work and my colleagues are smashing.

Boasted? No. Unhappy that I'd discovered this ability through painful means? Yes.
Fay, I know Jilli was interested in Wolves in the Walls reading. The big question is going to be when can we fit this stuff in?
(Well, fwiw I would very happily read it to Jilli & Clovis & anyone else as a bedtime story in Seattle, rather than make people set aside time to indulge me. Indeed, the vision of Jilli tucked up in Victorian nightgown complete with Devil Bunny makes it almost entirely irresistible. Bless.)
Emeline LOVES Wolves in the Wall! We have a signed copy!
It's a cracking book, isn't it? So's Coraline. (And today I scored a pirate copy of Mirrormask, which I'm hoping is in English. Insh'allah.)
Yay Fay!
I'm going to repost my earlier Monterey Bay Aquarium post, just to make sure no one missed it. Please email me if you think you might make it.
Okay, here is the web site for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We have planned on going on Monday.
Pros for going: It's really really really cool. Really.
Cons for going: 1) It is about 125 miles south of San Francisco. Google maps puts the drive from the hotel to the Aquarium at about 2 hours and 10 minutes, so it really is an all day trip, and we will probably hit some rush hour traffic at least on the way there.
2) Getting there might well require renting a car, depending on how many people want to go and how many locals with cars go.
Could any one, locals included, who thinks they want to go, please email me with the following information:
Where you are starting from
Where you want to end up, especially if this is an airport
if you have a flight on Monday, what time is it, and what airport
If you are a local, if you can drive and how many you can fit in your car.
If you would be willing to drive a rental car
Thanks!
