Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: Good night, folks.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That'll work out great, Jess. Yay!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Are we buying them separately to confuse the vampires? Or did we just not have a big enough group?

We did have enough for a "group", but there was no discount in the rate. We decided that instead of dealing with PayPal fees, it would be better to just have everyone buy their own tickets.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I feel I should mention that I *am* coming to the F2F, and I *do* want to do the group stuff, but I'd just rather wait until the actual event to see what tickles my fancy -- Alcatraz vs. hanging out at the hotel bar? Aquarium vs. corset shopping?

Too many choices. Can't commit now.

Though I suppose I should buy my plane ticket.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

On the phone with Lilibeth...

...and, here we go.

Open bar is a go. The time I set was 7 -11; that allows people who have to drive places afterward time to sober up, something I'm prepared to dig my heels in about, since I am fierce about drunk driving.

As it stands: Unlimited drinks, with our stated preferences on hand. Bar will be a presumed flat rate of $1000, with a $300 "window"; if we go over, she won't charge us, and if we go under, we just make sure we make up the difference to meet the minimum that the food menu leaves us with, of about $700.

So, unlimited, four-hour open bar, our choice of booze, no early deposit, presumed top end around $1000 but if we go over by a few hundred bucks, she won't charge us. edit: and if we get to $700 worth of drinks but don't go over, she won't charge us the additional $300.

Does this work? Speak now...

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

unless you aren't leaving until very late Monday or Tuesday or later, you might want to think about other options.

Hmm, my flight out is at about 5:30 Monday night. I suppose that doesn't qualify as "very late"?

So, who's gonna entertain me on Monday if not the penguins and otters?

Epic, San Francisco is a superb city to wander around in, and there are plenty of people around, I'm betting. I'll be at the hotel Monday morning, making sure the hospitality suite is properly cleaned up and cleared out, and settling up with the hotel, but if I'm not zonked stone fuckin' DED by afternoon? Wandering my city makes me happy.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

OK, that sounds like a yes....
