Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Our wings are not tired.

No! Because I said so!

But I won't be needing that talent for the F2F. Do I feel bad about going to SF alone and leaving DH to take care of the kids? No, I do not.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Laura, no reason to feel guilty (unless feeling a little guilty makes it more fun).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Also, Hee, because for years my password at the office was 'No' because I was the person in the office that took the phone calls when a No was required. It is one of my talents. No!

You could be the next David Spade!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

How was the trip, Kristin? Was much bonding had by all?

If by "bonding" you mean "periodically roping the canoes together so as not to die" then yes.

No, seriously, it was a great trip except for yesterday when we had a huge wind storm while trying to get down a 12 mile stretch of river with inexperienced 9th graders. I have been canoeing since I was a child and actually taught it when I was a camp counselor, and I have never seen conditions that bad. I'm going to write about it in my LJ some time this weekend and will link to it then for the rest of the details.

I'm really glad I did the trip, but between the wind storm and the bumps and bruises along the way, I am beyond drained right now. It's good (oh so good) to be home. And now...SPRING BREAK! I've never needed one more.

Thanks for asking!

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

is it appropriate to bring a guest to prom?

Plenty of people have brought guests in the past, I see no reason we should exclude Ms. Shapiro.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Well, at least the trip was memorable! Glad you got home safe and sound, Kristin.

Sounds like I should start looking at airfares. I'll do that and then not look at my credit card balances for a long, long time.
