It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

ND, yep. But that comes down if we're doing an open bar, right? By $500?

The other $250 was the extra night of the hospitality suite - there seemed to be a consensus of sorts, for keeping it until Monday, rather than Sunday.

Also, will need to know about a post B2B BBQ at Chez Grabien.

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! But, you already knew that. Plus, more cooking! I could make mini chocolate cheesecakes!

Excellent! Then I could concentrate on sides, and not have to worry about dessert for the BBQ.

We have time yet - I can get a slightly more accurate headcount as time goes by (yeah, cue Hoagie Carmichael, or whoever played it in Casablanca...)

I can make something else too. I've been meaning to create mini apple tortes. perhaps I will try to do that this weekend. Localistas may be called upon to eat the samples.

It's still part of the average of $42 per person that we need to do. Whether it's a fee or the drinkers pay it by purchasing drinks it's still part of the $2500. If we do an open bar, then we're paying the money upfront.

I'm paying the extra $250 for the hospitality suite, I've just not had a chance to send the money along.

Then subtract $250 plus whatever the one night's tax works out to be from that $2500, and we recalculate.

If 60 people then ~$37.50 per person needs to be raised.

ND, so we figure on that, and if we exceed the bar tab - which I suspect is not even going to be a question - and there's more money raised than is needed, we reimburse, or - what?

Brain hurts send help.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I suggest that if we have money left over, we donate it to the B.org operating fund.

If there's extra we either put it into the b.org fund or save it for next year.

I'd also rather just shoot for raising the full $2500 and paying to have the open bar. Otherwise the folks who are drinking are getting saddled with making sure that they spend at least $500 to get the room comped. I'm not sure what our ratio of drinkers to non-drinkers is here.
