The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

if there could be some Starbucks liqueur on hand for espresso martinis, I'd be much obliged

I can supply this. It may never leave the room, but I can supply it.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Heh.

ND, I want to put in a request now, Point Person's Privilege:

I want some genuine old school rock, damn it. I know, I know, lots of stuff from the eighties and nineties is beloved, but damn it, you have a couple of geezers this time and I'm one of them and I WANT SOME VINTAGE SEVENTIES ROCK, maybe even sixties. And I do NOT mean disco or prog stuff.

Get me some Stones: Sympathy for the Devil is a good start, I will always listen to It's Only Rock and Roll, and She's A Rainbow, well, you're playing my song, honey.

Get me some Who.

Get me some Kinks, damn it! Lola. Apeman. Well-Respected Man.

Get me some Clash, London Calling works.

Bob Seger. Oh yes, what was that group's name again - oh, right, some BEATLES.

Want old school. Please, sir.

Mah sisters!

Who, Long Live Rock. Kinks, Lola (ok, obvious, but still fun). Beatles - jeez, pick one or two or nine. Ticket to Ride? Anything from Abbey Road?

Classic ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK!

Nothing against Eminem or Beyonce or whatever. And I wouldn't mind some good solid new stuff - I am unashamed to admit to being a Nickelback fan (Animals is a superb song - how can you not like a story-song about mutual oral sex?)

But I want classic rock.

Everyone just post what you want and I'll put something together. How long are we looking at having people play live? I'm guessing an hour or maybe more? So prerecorded would be in the 3.5 hour range which is probably a total of maybe 40 songs. Post what you want and we'll see how many we get.

Drew, live would be less than an hour, methinks. Need to ask Matt, but probably just a few songs. I'm pimping for covering Kenny Wayne Shepherd's Blue on Black, maybe Bryan Adams' Summer of 69, one more or so.

Kind of depends on whether we can hook up a drummer....

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And if people actually make it down on time, would definitely be worth it.

Oh THAT. Well, if we are late we can work real hard. If we're loyal.

I actually accidentally got us in a little trouble at the LA F2F by having a flask with me. The cash bar via the hotel was a bit upset about it.

Wasn't it TWO flasks?

Ok. So probably between 40 and 55 songs to play for the party.
