Uh, are we gonna fight, or is there just gonna be a monster sarcasm rally?

Yes you can. Porter is commuter rail AND red line. Harvard's the next stop going inbound.

However, I would advise against if you in any way suffer vertigo. The main escalator at Porter is the longest and steepest I've ever seen.

heh, inevitable x-post from the local-istas.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Heh. Nope, no vertigo, at least not on escalators.

I'm all showered. Vortex and I are playing phone tag; her flight's been delayed until not quite noon, but she's on her way.

I'm starting to feel weirdly like some sort of Cosmic Snow-Bearer. Remembering the blizzard in Seattle...

You'll understand as soon as you see it why I warned, though.

This is usally me when I drive up to Maine. (Remembering both Halloween and Thanksgiving this year...)

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for Deb's safe arrival in Boston. Also, she needs to buy new higher boots just cause.

Sorry about the Vortex delay. Also, please to remember pictures people!

Because books.

Yay! on juliana's apartment!! What good news.

Deb, got your updates. Have responded in email, but yeah, wherever we stay is good for me. Just glad to see you! Bundle up, lady.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Deb, I think Porter is closer to Jon's place.

Porter & Davis are about the same distance from my house. Porter is one stop closer to Harvard, but I usually prefer walking to Davis because it's a nicer walk than the strip mall parking lot experience that is Porter.

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

Not to mention that when the giant escalators at Porter stop working, you're in for quite a workout.

OMG! Deb just called to tell me that she went out onto my 2nd floor porch, thinking it was the front door, and locked herself out!

Luckily the 1st floor tenant Tim was home. I called him and he heroically came up to my apartment and rescued her.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It's like a Deb watch-n-post. Yay, heroic neighbor!

Our wings are not tired.

Yikes! Good thing she had a phone.
