I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

OK, for dinner on Saturday so far, I have: Deb, me, Tom, Jon, FAQ Wife, Frankenbuddha, DX Machina. I was thinking it would be better to dine on the slightly early side (say, 6pm) so that folks not dining can stop by Jon's at a relatively reasonable hour, like 8pm?

Thoughts?

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. I'd also rather go on the earlier side as well, both for the reason you said, and that places tend to be less crowded at 6 than at 7.

Ellen sent an email saying she was up for dinner as well.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Dudes. And dudesses.

So. damned. cool.

I get to see everyone!

BTW, a question: where is Inman Square? Clea Simon wants to meet up with me around half past four tomorrow, and with Steph as well, hopefully, since we'll be exploring Boston together during the day. Says Clea:

Sounds like a date then -- the 1369 in Inman Square! They have soups, sandwiches, and lovely scones as well as the necessary caffeine. And I'll drive us over to Kate's after.

So, hopefully, Inman Square isn't too far from action central (Jon's) because slogging around Boston in full velvet foo in the snow all day could be, um, interesting...

It's not far, but I would cab it from Davis or Harvard. It would be a long walk, but cheap cab ride.

Inman Square is sort of between Union Square in Somerville, MIT/Kendall area, and Harvard Square. The 1369 is nice. I like the pub next door, the Druid, as well as the S&S deli/resteraunt across the street. Also, yum, East Coast Grill raw bar and champagne, and Bukowski's, and. Sigh. I miss living in Somerville.

Nora, I'm all about the cab ride, especially if it's shudder snowing.

should be pretty easy to get around then, all those areas are quite cab-able. If it's snowing, there might be some competition though.

ETA: but still shouldn't be a problem regardless.

Also, you can take the red line from Harvard to Davis, if you need to get between those areas. (Inman, though NSM)

I think Vortex has a car, if she feels like driving. We'll confab. Either way, we'll get there.

And dinner Saturday? DAYUM, looking forward to that.
