The status is NOT quo.

Jilli and I went thrift store shopping at Jet Rag and Wasteland and then went to Necromance and then picked up Aimee and met MiracleMan, the MiraclePrincess, and the MiracleSIL in Hollywood to see Nightmare before Christmas! Emma was wearing her new Gothic Charm School shirt and velvet leggings, and the rest of us looked almost as cute. Well...okay, maybe not. But we were a fine looking bunch. Now I'm waiting at the hotel for Jilli to fetch Pete so we can scamper out to play some more.

It's been a fabulous day.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

We had a superb meal, a few hours back - Jessica and I have cooked together before, so we know how to share kitchen duty. Tonight was a kamikaze meal, slamming out two kinds of pasta (Jess made an incredibly garlicky nummy pesto, I made a chicken sausage sugo with fresh tomatoes, chopped basil, sweated garlic and pignoli), a salad with mesclun and shaved reggiano (we cheesed the hell out of it, adding grana padano and basic romano, I believe the third cheese was), in a red wine vinaigrette. There were also killer bread sticks and two loaves of bakery bread studded with garlic.

Jessica and I got it together in twenty minutes. It was eaten while Eddie Izzard was watched.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Also, Jess and Juliana and I all got really great tattoos. I still have huge marks from the bandage tape, but that hurt more than the tattoo itself does.

Gods, yes, the tats are amazing. I love all three, but am seriously blissed at Jessica having the chemical symbol for caffeine. Perfect.

beth! Did you send my husband home safely? He said he was coming over there today.

Also, does your library subscribe to Library Journal?

Tom (and others), I will be heading to Caribou shortly, if you want to meet me there.
