Oh my yes.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

Do they require that customers sign their names in blood on the check?
Do they require that customers sign their names in blood on the check?
Man I'd so totally do it too. pfft. who needs a soul anyway?
Hmm, I do have a spare one to sign over, as a result of buying a large Krystal cherry Coke for my former roommate in 1995. Tempting.
I'm not going to do it yet, probably not until late Feb. Should I just send the check to you for the bar/cashier? Does that go on your credit card?
I have to put a $500 deposit on my credit card, which covers the Hospitality Suite and holds the Prom room with bartender/cashier/appetizers et al.
So...whenever you want to send that my way is fine, Heather. The best best is probably just to deposit directly into the PayPal account once its opened and you have funds available (Feb. is fine).

Good lord. I've got to figure out how to get to NOLA for the F2F.
Conversation with Tom:
me: So, it looks like they've finalized a hotel for the F2F.
Tom: Yeah, I saw that. Too bad we can't go.
me: What? I want to go!
Tom: But didn't we JUST SAY that we are going to forego vacations next year and save all money toward a house?
me: Yeah, but... I was hoping we could find another solution...
Tom: A solution to the fact that we are going back on our promise to ourselves?
Eek! Hopefully we can find a Delta FF fare or 2, and if there's a Java conference in the area at the time, then maybe we can work it that way. (though I'm not holding my breath for that solution)
Nora, if it turns out to be cheaper to fly into Memphis (my Boston round trip flights tend to $220 or so), I'd be happy to give you and Tom a ride down from there.
Alas, I can no do PayPal. Mr. H used my credit card to set his up and I don't know the password, and of course they won't let 2 people on the same card, or let the same card be used for 2 seperate accounts, so mailing a check it will likely be.
You know, I don't think it's the airfare and the hotel that's going to kill me, it's the food. That said, I'm not even sure I'll be able to make the F2F and I was so looking forward to it. But between Christmas and my property taxes, all my spare money is gone. My next couple of bonus checks are going to have to be banked for mid-year taxes, I just can't see swinging it right now. Hopefully, as the F2F comes closer I'll see a light at the end of the tunnel and maybe be able to scrape enough up to sit outside the plane on the horizontal stabilizer. I'll hope for good weather.
