IME, it's flying in/out of Ohio that's pricey.
Depends. I just never had any luck booking out of Columbus for Minneapolis for work for under $700 (and that was three years of booking some regular travel there).
Cheapness can be had to places like Vegas on Southwest, Chicago, DC and Houston. But those are usually the only cheapies I could find.
Juliana, I thought I should let you know, officially, I can't come.
pouts.
MSP is 'spensive is you're not going to/coming from LAX or NYC, I think.
Huh. My RT ticket SF to MSP for your wedding was just around $310, including taxes and whatnot. That's not bad at all. And this time was a skosh over $400 ($403), with tax and various stuff.
Reservations have been made!
From the information on the LJ page, it looks like I have the same incoming flight as Jess.
YAY!
Should we think about dinner before the reading? At some point, happy to cook, if juliana and Z would like that and let me, but I'm thinking the Saturday would be better - the signing has time constraints, and I hate rushing when I'm cooking.
You are welcome to cook, but yes, Saturday would probably be better.
What would people be up for in the way of fooding?
For me, eating out? Avoiding Asian (including Thai and Indian) is my best move. I can't digest it anymore, and me and Thai, like me and sushi, do not love each other.
addendum - although whatever it was that E cooked for us, when Jess and I came back from DC? that was gorgeous and uncontentious, and went down great.
I just got back from a weeklong business trip to Minneapolis where I stayed at the Millenium! It was perfectly nice, not fancy but comfortable and near all sorts of cool stuff.
