It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

We're about to drive about 400 miles on Friday, but there are no toll roads.

And anyway, Californians are all crazy; Nic and I drive a roundtrip of 110 miles every two days, to feed our southcats.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I drive 90 miles roundtrip every (week)day. (Still, though, a 12 or 13-hour drive, esp. just for the weekend, is not at all appealing.)

Our wings are not tired

When Nilly did her tour I delivered her to SF and then drove back to LA about 10 hours later. It's 6ish hours each way.

I've also driven San Diego to Spokane non-stop at least 25 times.

I'm getting the pig!

Ugh, Kate. Poor you! I used to have that drive. Did it for almost six years and don't miss it a single bit. (Not the same drive, obviously.)

Nic used to commute to Milpitas and back every day. 120 miles round trip.

We go through cars at a ridiculous rate.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Aw, Tep. I wish we could have that transporter technology. Are you sure? (bats eyes)

YAY TOM SCOLA! wOOt!!

When I lived in Fairbanks, we would drive down to Anchorage (7+ hours, through the Alaska Range) just to see movies that wouldn't be released up there. Well, and shopping. Can't forget the shopping.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Juliana, I thought I should let you know, officially, I can't come. They couldn't find me a school to observe at.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Are the airfares just too outrageous?

My experience with flying into Minneapolis (at least from Columbus) has been extremely pricey.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

IME, it's flying in/out of Ohio that's pricey. I was able to find pretty cheap flights on Northwest and Sun Country for NYC-MSP.

Depends. I just never had any luck booking out of Columbus for Minneapolis for work for under $700 (and that was three years of booking some regular travel there).

Cheapness can be had to places like Vegas on Southwest, Chicago, DC and Houston. But those are usually the only cheapies I could find.
