Dang, Tep, that is just a little far! The trip from Madison to Cleveland was just on the edge of my comfort zone as it was and that wasn't quite 500 miles. Are the airfares just too outrageous?
F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

It's a combination of me being broker than broke and also having a sudden influx of freelance work that's all going to come due right around the end of the month. Ironically, said freelance work could have paid for a plane ticket if only it were given to me a month earlier. But as it stands right now, I lack both money AND time. Feh.
Train? Is there a nice affordable train? You could do an Orient Express and drink champagne as the night flashes by outside the train windows.
edit: laptop? You could do it on the train....
(see above tag)
YAY for the possibility of Scola!
And I'm right behind Deb in the Teppy-urging. C'mon, you know you want to!(All the cool kids are doing it...)
YAY for the possibility of Scola!
I KNOW.
I pointed him towards the LJ community too.
Dude. Tom, and maybe a particle transporter so we could get Teppy, too?
I mean, I know we can't have Brenda and Vortex - family wedding and friends wedding and stuff - and I know we can't have the Seattle contingent. But Tom, and Teppy?
Hellayes!
Awww, Tom! SO jealous of the Halloween Scola-having.
And maybe picks up Teppy and Nicole en route.
Stupid no vacation time left. Would loooove to finally meet the lovely Juliana but I'll settle for keeping my fingers crossed for May.

Ugh. Just ugh. The toll booths alone were enough to drive me insane. Car trips just aren't what they used to be in the old days.
We're about to drive about 400 miles on Friday, but there are no toll roads.
And anyway, Californians are all crazy; Nic and I drive a roundtrip of 110 miles every two days, to feed our southcats.
I drive 90 miles roundtrip every (week)day. (Still, though, a 12 or 13-hour drive, esp. just for the weekend, is not at all appealing.)
