I'm very excited for the San Francisco-ness.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

Well, I'll see. One thing about SF being the city for the F2F is that if G is able to come, we won't have to worry about the hotel cost.(G's aunt and uncle live in SF, in fact they're basically around the corner from Hec and JZ)
If I do go solo, I will need a roommate. I'll keep people posted on this.
Oh no! Voting was only open a couple of few days?!! Dang!! I really, really wanted to vote! Heck.
Back from nice breakfast meeting with Sheila.
As follows, set out nice and simple: Rooms are block-booked. We'll have a three-week cutoff (with room for last minute deciders, so no worries there). People wanting to reserve will be able to do so directly by calling the HI's 800 number. The rooms, special rates, will be under "buffistas". erika, bebe, for your room, if you're doing the hotel? You get VIP treatment; you will have your very own events coordinator to work with directly. We have, as I say, a pencilled-number of blocked out rooms, and will be expected to cover 85%. Knowing that in advance, I kept the minimum nice and low, with total upward ability at the high end. Major room to move around.
The hospitality suite will be done up to our specs: beds removed, fridge and extra tables/chairs brought in. It's a two bedroom suite with big living room and nice sizeable TV; I believe there's already a DVD player in there, and if not, they have no trouble with us bringing in our own.
For credit card stuff, I'll be pinging Laura later today.
java, voting was open for a full four days, from Friday morning eastern time to Monday evening eastern time.
You so totally rock. IJS.
Woo! I am SO looking forward to next May. Yay!
I'm planning on having a nice homecooked spread out in the hospitality suite come that Thursday. I also have their full catering menu, and if we want speciality food that isn't on, the chef and I will sit down and go over it. Of course, he's trained Sicilian and I'm trained Tuscan....
my GOD I am so excited.
Heh. Chill, yo - it's nine months away.
