Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Actually I really don't care the gender of the person fanning and feeding me.

Laura makes a good point. I don't care the chromosone makeup of the fingers peeling me a grape.

Hmm.... A cabana girl does sound nice....

Our wings are not tired.

How hot is Vegas that time of year? I know I should be aclimated to heat, but I get enough of it at home. Both DC and NOLA were really hot.

I've only been in Vegas in November(?) at Comdex time and it isn't hot then. I've had a wonderful time each time I have been there, but curious about the hot hot hot.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Heh. I wonder if she feeds the Scary Talking Roman God statues in the basement?

edit: Laura, I've been in February, and it was really nice. I've been in Mid-April, and it was glorious. I've been there in mid-July and it was ninth level of hell.

'Til we dance away...

I was there this Memorial Day weekend, and I found it to be not bad at all. It was in the mid 90s, but it's such a dry heat. I really never got sweaty walking around during the day, and the casinos and malls were so over airconditioned that going outside was a nice change from being goosebumpy.

Weather is totally personal preference, so my pleasant could be someone else's hell, but I live in Seattle so it's not like I'm used to the heat.

Sassy's got a really good point, about the air conditioning and the malls.

Vegas did something really smart, too - they've made it possible to sort of jump from hotel to hotel (or casino to casino, if that's your thing) on the free little monorail thingies that run between the hotels. IIRC, the Bellagio connects by those to the Monte Carlo to the south, and I think it bypasses Caesar's and goes to the Mirage, but I could be totally remembering that wrong. Definitely the Monte Carlo, though.

I can't even.

Hey everybody!

I'm in SF, hanging with Hec and Emmett in the Haight, having ditched the fam in Golden Gate Park. We're having coffee and playing pool and posting from the rental iMac at the Rockin' Java. Later on I'm meeting up with more SFistas for Afghani dinner stylings. Yesterday was the Bay cruise and Alcatraz pass-by. Yes, having a jacket in August in SF is a good thing when the wind gets blowing and the fog rolls in.

Having a great time, wish you were here!

On a non-Canadian that would just sound gloaty.
